MEET THE TEAM
CaSS employs Fiona Walton as a part-time (20 hours a week during term time) schools links adviser and Jacqueline Ryan as a part-time administrator. CaSS also has a management group of volunteer members drawn from several churches around Sheffield who have overall responsibility for the work.
Schools Links Advisor
Fiona started working (part-time) as Schools Links Advisor for CaSS in September 2011 when Linda Chambers retired after 27 years. She is really excited about continuing her work and extending it in new directions. Fiona grew up in Sheffield and attended school in the city.
Fiona became a Christian aged 12 and her faith grew as she became a member of a local church that gave young people opportunities to lead and serve. She enjoyed studying Biblical Studies at Sheffield University and went on to get an MA in Theology from Durham University. After studying for a PGCE (Primary) at Durham University she taught RE for 2 years in a large Durham comprehensive. Fiona now teaches RE (part-time) to 4 – 11 years olds. She can’t believe that she has been teaching for over 40 years!
Fiona attends STC Sheffield (Anglican Baptist).
Jacqueline has experience working in various roles in education and administration, in both Christian and secular environments. She has worked and volunteered for several charities in Sheffield and further afield.
Linda was initially a secondary teacher in the city before being appointed as the first Scripture Union Schools Worker for Sheffield in 1985. When the work developed into CaSS she continued as the worker until her retirement in 2011. She is actively involved in different aspects of church life and ministry.
Linda attends St. Gabriel's Greystones (Anglican).
Philippa is Children’s Co-ordinator for the Sheffield Methodist Circuit, having previously worked as a Children & Families Worker for a group of Anglican churches, and as a primary teacher in North Derbyshire and Sheffield.
Philippa attends Holy Trinity, Millhouses (Anglican).
Richard is a retired chartered mechanical engineer. He is a past treasurer for CaSS and now has a watching brief over the computing side of CaSS.

Glenn is a retired Headteacher of a Church of England Comprehensive School and secretary to the trustees at CaSS. During his teaching career he helped run and support Christian groups. He is a Methodist local preacher and is actively involved in youth and children’s work at his local church.

Cherry is the Youth & Children's Minister for Bents Green Church. She has been there since 2007, starting as a student and then going on to become a full time Youth & Children's minister. As part of her role she is able to spend time in local primary and secondary schools mentoring and leading Christian Unions.
