JOINED UP CONFERENCE

CaSS started running an annual conference in 2013. That morphed into the Joined Up Conference after partnering with other organisations (the Diocese of Sheffield, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church). Since then, CaSS has helped to organise this conference, bringing together those working with children, youth, schools, families and chaplaincy to hear keynote speakers, take part in workshops and be inspired and equipped to continue in their ministries.

Joined Up Conference Prayer

Loving God,

You call us to join up – to join up our thoughts and ideas, to join up our giving and caring, to join up the gaps across generations and traditions and to stand hand-in-hand as the people of our joined-up, three-in-one God.

We’re so aware of the ways in which the world can seem such a scary and threatening place for our young people right now, where aggressive powers seek to divide and conquer; where places of safety and security become fragmented and unstable; where a sense of disconnection threaten to thwart  the thirst for wonder, discovery and life, and space to flourish.  We hold those situations before you now…

It’s so good that we’ve been able to join up. We give thanks for those who’ve organised and planned, for speakers, facilitators and participants.

We pray that each here will discover, through you uniting Spirit, something new, something inspiring, something vital and life-giving to take with us into our work, lives and relationships with young people.

May we each be enlivened by our connectivity – and may our joined-upness build wholeness of love, of hope, of peace, in the name of the Joiner of Nazareth – Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen

Joined Up Conference 2024

Saturday 2nd March

We had a great time at this year's Joined Up Conference, which was held at at Victoria Hall in Sheffield. The delightful Gareth Hillier from Care for the Family and the Kitchen Table Project was our keynote speaker and there were 15 diverse workshops throughout the day. There was also a vibrant marketplace of organisations, some lovely worship and lots of chatting, networking, food and drink! There are a number of talks and photos from the day to view on the Joined Up website. The video below shows the highlights from the day.
